SENIOR BOOKKEEPER / PAYROLL OFFICER

An exciting opportunity is available in a vibrant and growing Chartered Accounting firm based in Benowa.

We are looking for a bookkeeper who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in an autonomous environment towards strict deadlines.

As a part of our growing team, you will work closely with a friendly team of accountants and bookkeepers at different levels.

The Firm

Red Shed Business Advisors is a boutique Accounting Firm based in Benowa on the Gold Coast offering accounting,  tax and business advisory services to a variety of size businesses.

The firm is led by a team of innovative, entrepreneurial and approachable partners that are looking to grow the firm.
 

The Role

Manage a number of Xero / MYOB data files for our clients, including :-

• Data entry

  • Invoices 

    • Create Invoices 

    • Send Statements 

    • Allocate Payments 

    • Create / Apply Credit Notes 

  • Purchases

    • Create Purchase 

    • Manage on time payment of all purchases 

    • Reconcile purchases to customer statements

    • Apply Credit Notes

• Reconciliation of bank accounts within Xero / MYOB and rectify discrepancies from bank statements 

• Process payroll 

• Process superannuation

• Knowledge of BAS preparation

• Prepare financial reports and statements, such as a balance sheet and income statement from the clients data file. 

• Manage bank feeds, accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Assist with tax filing and organising accounting tasks

 
Qualifications and experience 

• Xero and MYOB experience essential.

• Strong Excel skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Positive attitude, approachable and self-motivated

• Exceptional communication skills on all levels

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Formal bookkeeping or accounting qualifications would be highly regarded
