Senior Civil Engineer

Ravenswood Gold is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Civil Engineer to oversee the planning, design, and delivery of key infrastructure projects that support the continued growth of our operation. Reporting to the Projects Department Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and managing civil engineering projects across site, including roads, bulk earthworks, dams, drainage systems, and other critical infrastructure upgrades. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors, you will lead projects from concept through to detailed design and execution, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business objectives.

About the Role:

As the Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and project oversight across a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Scoping multidisciplinary work packages in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Managing civil engineering projects from feasibility studies through to design and construction.
• Preparing business cases and board papers to support project approvals and funding decisions.
• Assisting with the preparation, evaluation, and management of tender and contract documentation.
• Engaging and managing consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality technical assessments and engineering designs.
• Reviewing project cost estimates and supporting budget development.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules using MS Project and monitoring performance against milestones.
• Facilitating project risk assessments and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress, cost, schedule, and performance.
• Ensuring projects meet site safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.

About You:

You are a motivated and experienced civil engineering professional with a strong project delivery background and a passion for developing practical engineering solutions in a mining environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A recognised Civil Engineering degree accredited by Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering civil engineering projects within mining, civil construction, or remote operations environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects from concept through to completion.
• Experience in bulk earthworks, roads, dams, drainage, and mining infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in tendering, contract administration, and project cost management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• A proactive approach to safety, environmental compliance, and risk management.
• A current manual driver's licence.

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

• Formal Project Management qualifications.
• Experience working within large-scale mining operations.
• Knowledge of relevant Queensland mining and construction regulations.
