A Dayforce Payroll Analyst is a specialised role focused on managing, optimizing, and often migrating payroll systems using the Dayforce HCM platform.
Core ResponsibilitiesDayforce Payroll Analysts typically bridge the gap between technical system configuration and operational payroll execution.System Migration & Implementation: Leading the transfer of data from legacy platforms (like Preceda) to Dayforce, ensuring data integrity and correct configuration.Testing & Validation: Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and conducting parallel payroll runs to verify accuracy before "go-live".Process Optimization: Identifying manual workflows that can be automated within Dayforce to reduce risk and increase efficiency.Reporting & Analytics: Building dashboards and custom reports to provide actionable insights to Finance and HR leadership.Post-Live Support: Providing "hypercare" support immediately after implementation to troubleshoot and resolve immediate payroll issues.
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Dayforce is essential, alongside strong Excel skills for data reconciliation and validation.Payroll Knowledge: A deep understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, including tax rules, superannuation, and regulatory compliance.Analytical Mindset: The ability to translate complex datasets into clear, strategic insights for stakeholders.
