We’re now looking for passionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our dedicated team at The Haven in Wagga Wagga. This is more than just a job in aged care. We offer a variety of morning, afternoon and night shifts across the week, giving you flexibility while being part of a supportive and caring team.
As a valued member of our team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming and home-like environment while supporting our residents to live with dignity and independence. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents with personal care, including showering and dressing
Supporting day-to-day activities such as meals, social activities and daily routines
Working closely with our clinical team to ensure care plans are followed
Maintaining accurate documentation and working collaboratively to support residents’ health and wellbeing
Building positive relationships with residents, families and the wider community
Providing compassionate, high-quality care that makes a real difference
We’re looking for people who genuinely care about others and take pride in making a difference. To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
A Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent)
Preference will be given to PCAs who have completed medication-competency training as part of their Certificate III or Certificate IV studies
A kind heart and genuine passion for providing exceptional care to older people
Confidence interacting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A reliable, positive and collaborative approach to teamwork
An understanding of workplace health and safety
A willingness to obtain a Police Check and NDIS clearance
