Cook

We're on the hunt to find a talented Cook to join our Brookvale Truck Bar team on a Casual basis.

Our Roles:

Up to approximately 25 hours per week.

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.

Kitchen Management: Contribute to the kitchen operations, ensuring organisation, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Quality Control: Monitor the taste, texture, and presentation of dishes to maintain the highest culinary standards.

Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control, including ordering and stock rotation.

Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders.

Creativity: Contribute to menu development and special offerings, bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Safety and Hygiene: Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.

You:

• Proven experience working in, quality, faced paced casual dining kitchens. 

• At least 2 years full-time work experience as a CDP is desirable.

• Manage time effectively, have an eye for detail and work well independently.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Can-do attitude and positive approach to your work.
