Civcon Civil & Project Management (Civcon) is currently seeking an experienced and motivated HSEQ Advisor to join our team supporting projects in Geraldton and regional Western Australia.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HSEQ professional looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of Civcon’s regional projects.

This is a Perth-based position that will require weekly DIDO (Drive-In, Drive-Out) travel to Geraldton, as well as travel to regional project locations across Western Australia where required, with potential FIFO requirements.

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a regional project environment and travelling as required to support project teams on site.

As a HSEQ Advisor, you will provide HSEQ advice and support to project teams in maintaining compliance and achieving the Company's HSEQ goals and objectives, under the guidance of the HSEQ Manager.

You will be part of a proactive HSEQ team and will have the opportunity to work closely with project management, supervisors, subcontractors and clients to promote a strong safety and quality culture across our projects. Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Updating, implementing and driving safety procedures, policies, SWMS and HSEQ processes

• Conducting audits, site inspections and site walkthroughs

• Assisting with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions

• Attending and actively participating in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks

• Liaising and interacting with stakeholders, clients and subcontractors regarding HSEQ requirements

• Assisting operational teams to comply with the HSEQ Management System

• Developing and implementing new HSEQ initiatives

• Communicating HSEQ requirements clearly to project teams

• Supporting risk identification and management processes to minimise risks associated with work activities

• Providing practical, hands-on HSEQ support to site-based teams

• Promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the project

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Cert IV/Diploma qualification or greater in Occupational Health and Safety

• Minimum 5 years' experience working in the civil construction industry, with a minimum 3 years' experience as an HSEQ/HSE Advisor

• Previous experience working on regional or remote projects is highly regarded

• Brownfield project experience is preferred

• Construction White Card

• Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Current C Class Driver's Licence

• Drug & Alcohol testing experience (desirable)

• Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

• Experience with Federal Safety Commission Accreditation (desirable)

• The ability to influence and engage project teams to improve HSEQ outcomes on site

• The ability and willingness to work on a DIDO basis in Geraldton
