About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance team in South Perth. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll take ownership of an accurate, on-time weekly payrun for approximately 250 employees across ISSG and its nine subsidiary entities. This is a hands-on, end-to-end payroll role for someone who enjoys the rhythm of a fixed weekly cycle and takes pride in getting the detail right.

You'll be the go-to person for payroll system administration in MYOB Acumatica, and you'll work across a genuinely varied award landscape from resources and transport through to services and clerical awards so no two weeks look quite the same.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure all employee data is up to date.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and other statutory reports.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
• Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts.
• Assist in the implementation of payroll systems and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant laws regarding payroll.
• Provide support during audits and assist in the preparation of payroll-related documentation.

• Qualifications: Cert IV in Payroll Administration, Accounting, Business or a related field (desirable)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong sense of confidentiality
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work under pressure within a fixed weekly payroll cycle
• A collaborative, no-fuss communication style
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements in Australia.
• Proficiency in MYOB Accumatica.
• Sound working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009, Modern Awards and the National Employment Standards
• Experience with Single Touch Payroll, superannuation guarantee and payroll tax compliance across multiple entities
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
