Retail Floor Coverings Sales Person

About the role

Jupps Floorcoverings Group is seeking a floorcovering sales person to fulfil a full-time position within our group. The role will be extremely diverse, as whilst the position is located in Perth as a base, the role is one that will range from helping in Perth with sending orders out to the stores, helping with tenders (online), day to day duties and also the successful candidate must also be able travel. We see this position having roughly 1-2 weeks travel per month to (predominately) Exmouth and Karratha, but also the possibly of going to Port Hedland and Busselton depending on the various businesses needs. The role in those locations will involve day to day duties and range from deliveries, measuring, quoting, ordering stock, organising installations and normal retail store customer service activities. This will be a role where the successful applicant will learn everything there is to know in the floorcoverings industry and provides a huge scope for growth and possible permanent position into one of these locations should you so desire or want to look at regional relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Sending orders out to the stores

• Helping with tenders (online)

• Day to day duties in Perth base

• Travel to regional locations (Exmouth, Karratha, Port Hedland, Busselton)

• Deliveries

• Measuring and quoting

• Retail store customer service activities

About you

• Retail experience in floorcoverings (vinyl / carpet)

• Domestic knowledge essential, commercial definitely an advantage

• Ability to measure and quote

• Good level of computer skills

• Must have license and able to pass drug screening

• MUST BE WILLING to work away at the various locations

• Knowledge of blinds / security a bonus

• Knowledge of ceramic tiles a bonus

• Knowledge of the businesses RFMS software program a definite advantage

• Fork lift ticket a bonus

• MR truck license a bonus

• Knowledge of floor prep / grinding a bonus
