About the RoleViable Solutions is seeking an experienced Golang Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs. You will work on building scalable, concurrent, and production-grade Go applications in a cloud-native environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high-performance backend services and microservices using Go (Golang)Build and maintain RESTful and gRPC APIsImplement concurrency patterns using Go goroutines, channels, and interfacesDevelop and optimise database interactions across relational and NoSQL databasesIntegrate with message brokers — Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQContainerise and deploy Go applications using Docker and KubernetesWrite comprehensive unit and integration tests using Go testing frameworksConduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards are maintainedCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environmentRequired Skills & Experience5–8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years hands-on in Go (Golang) — mandatoryStrong proficiency in idiomatic Go — goroutines, channels, interfaces, and error handlingExperience building RESTful and gRPC APIs in production environmentsSolid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systemsExperience with Go frameworks — Gin, Echo, Fiber, or ChiStrong SQL skills — PostgreSQL or MySQL in productionExperience with NoSQL databases — MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDBHands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesExperience with AWS — EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, or FargateStrong understanding of API security — OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID ConnectExperience with CI/CD pipelines — GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similarNice to HaveExperience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)Knowledge of NATS or Kafka Streams for event-driven architectureFamiliarity with OpenTelemetry for distributed tracingExposure to Terraform for infrastructure as codeContributions to open-source Go projectsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experienceAWS Certified Developer — Associate (advantageous)Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) — advantageous
