Endurance's Abra Mine is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The underground mine represents one of the world's largest lead-silver projects.
Join Our Growing Team We're seeking an experienced Electrician for the village and NPI areas who will also assist in other areas, trades and mine services as required. You are personable, inclusive and can develop excellent working relationships within the team, other departments, and contractors. Importantly you will be available to anticipate needs and react quickly to ensure the site remains fully functional, as well as manage multiple demands on your time in a calm and considerate manner.
Your key responsibilities will include: - Mine site camp electrical maintenance, repairs and projet work
- On-site refrigeration operations, reporting any issues to senior management and planning upgrades
- Equipment compliance (tagging & testing), condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance
- Maintain statutory records for all equipment
- Methodical and resourceful approach to fault finding with high-quality reporting
- Work within maintenance and operational teams to ensure all activities are performed safely, timely, and professionally
- Preparation of JHA's and take 5's prior to commencing tasks
- Actively participate in a safe working environment with a focus on hygiene and housekeeping
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve processes
- Assist other maintenance staff or operations as required
What you'll bring - Electrical trade qualification
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade Certificate (Desirable)
- Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience
- Able to carry out routine inspections of equipment including preventative measures and condition monitoring
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Pronto maintenance systems
- In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and electrical standards
- Understanding of WHS Act 2020 and Regulations 2022, electrical legislation & Regulations
- Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- Able to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Capacity to handle complex situations and make decisions under pressure
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
Essential requirements: - Electrical trade qualification
- Current 'C' Class Western Australian driver's license
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of and adherence to standards and relevant legislation
Desirable tickets and qualifications: - St Johns Senior First Aid certificate
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Tickets
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade Certificate
- EWP, Forklift and Dogman tickets
