Description:

The Consultant in the Data and AI team operates as an independent contributor, owning the end to end technical delivery of moderately complex data solutions. The role applies sound judgement, business domain and data engineering expertise, and consulting discipline to translate requirements into practical data solutions and client ready outcomes. Ownership extends to technical solution delivery, with influence across delivery teams and direct client engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Own end to end technical delivery of moderately complex data solutions, from requirements clarification through to data engineering, testing and handover.
• Apply sound judgement to resolve routine delivery issues and select appropriate approaches within agreed standards and patterns.
• Act as a trusted data advisor to clients, clarifying needs, explaining outputs, and delivering practical data solutions that support client outcomes.
• Contribute to team knowledge through documentation, peer support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain clear, client ready communication throughout delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands on applied experience with data analysis, data engineering and data manufacturing / data warehousing.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake highly regarded.
• Exposure to analytical programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Ability to understand and capture data requirements.
• Consistent application of data standards and data engineering best practice.
• Strong technical and consulting judgement.
• Eagerness to contribute to problem-solving and solution design in a collaborative setting.
• Initiative-taking attitude, strong willingness to learn, and a passion for a career in data solutions.
• Familiarity with technology SDLC or Agile delivery practices.
• Exposure to the Financial Services Industry will be well regarded.
• Client ready written and verbal communication.
• Focus on outcomes, not just task completion.
