Function and Events Sales Coordinator

As proud owners of a diverse range of venues including Cloudland, Empire Hotel, Valley Hops Rooftop & Brewery, The Warehouse and The Island Hotel, we require a dynamic and diverse team to facilitate the needs of our guests.

Our unique and stunning venues host a wide range of events, from intimate social gatherings to large-scale gala dinners, conferences and weddings.

The key responsibility of this role is to identify, contract and convert sales leads while coordinating event bookings across all industry markets.

Key Responsibilities

·         Assist with email, phone and walk-in enquiries for private function bookings

·         Follow up outstanding function sales enquiries in a timely manner

·         Coordinate events and prepare detailed run sheets

·         Liaise with Accounts regarding deposits and final payments

·         Conduct site inspections and famil visits when required

·         Assist with hosting client functions and networking events when required

·         Maintain and update the function sales database, including client contact details and menu upgrades

·         Assist in the preparation of reports relevant to the development of function sales

·         Identify and pursue new client opportunities strategically

·         Attend relevant conferences and trade shows

·         Always deliver outstanding customer service

Essential Criteria

·         Previous experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in meetings and events

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint

·         Strong communication and negotiation skills

·         Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

·         Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required

·         Experience with event management software is highly desirable

·         A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

·         Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask

·         Recent experience within the events and/or tourism industry

·         A vibrant personality, professional presentation and strong client focus

·         Proven ability to achieve established sales targets

·         Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work autonomously in an office environment
