Hours: Monday to Friday | 5:30am – 12:00pm
Start: Immediate opportunity available

ISS is looking for a reliable and professional Driver to join our Defence team at Garden Island.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, working with people and being part of a professional team supporting Defence operations.

As a Defence Driver, you will:

• Safely transport Defence personnel across site
• Operate vehicles in accordance with site and safety requirements
• Complete daily vehicle inspections
• Follow all site, safety and security procedures
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Maintain a high standard of vehicle presentation and cleanliness

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Holds a Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR or above)
• Has bus driving experience (desirable)
• Holds a valid PTD (Passenger Transport Driver) licence
• Has a safe driving history
• Is reliable, punctual and safety focused
• Has good communication and customer service skills
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Takes pride in providing a professional service

Previous driving, transport or customer service experience is highly regarded.

• Australian Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Clearance
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR or above)
• Valid PTD licence
• Ability to complete pre-employment medical requirements, including Drug & Alcohol screening
• Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
