Rural/Agricultural Trainer and Assessor

About the role

This is an exciting part-time role for a Rural/Agricultural/Horticulture/High Risk Trainer/s to join the team at SDS Training in South East, Central & North Queensland. As a Trainer as SDS, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to deliver predominately in the local area.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and delivering engaging training programs covering a range of entry level skills, such as ACDC, Chainsaw, Biosecurity, Fencing etc.

• Collaborating with subject matter experts to continuously improve and expand the training curriculum and develop new business opportunities.

• Maintaining detailed records of all training activities and participant progress

• Promoting the training programs build awareness and drive enrolments

What we're looking for

• Significant experience working in the industry, with an understanding of modern farming practices and challenges

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and educate trainees from diverse backgrounds

• Proven track record of developing and delivering high-impact training programs

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure all training activities are well-planned and documented

• Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Current)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities 

  • Previous experience in a training role is preferred but not essential
