We're looking for a high-performing Restaurant Manager who is ready to take full ownership of restaurant performance, develop an outstanding team and lead a successful, high-volume operation.

As Restaurant Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant — from people and culture through to guest experience, operations and financial results. You'll lead and develop your management team, build a strong pipeline of future leaders and ensure the restaurant consistently delivers the high standards GYG is known for.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As Restaurant Manager, you'll take ownership of all areas of restaurant performance, including:

Leading the overall day-to-day operation of the restaurantBuilding, coaching and developing a high-performing leadership and Crew teamRecruiting great people and developing a strong pipeline of future Shift Leaders and ManagersCreating an energetic, positive and accountable team cultureDelivering an exceptional guest experience every dayDriving operational KPIs across service, quality, sales, labour and food costsManaging restaurant financial performance, including sales, labour, COGS, inventory and controllable expensesManaging rostering, recruitment, performance management and broader people processesMaintaining GYG's high standards across food quality, food safety, people safety and restaurant presentationLeading busy service periods from the floor and setting the standard for the teamIdentifying opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability and strengthen restaurant performanceEnsuring compliance with GYG systems, policies and operational standardsWorking with the wider GYG leadership network to continuously improve and deliver great results

What We're Looking For

We're Particularly Interested In Candidates Who Can Demonstrate

Strong management experience in a fast-paced hospitality, retail or customer-focused environmentProven experience leading, developing and motivating large teamsConfidence managing a high-volume operation and leading through busy service periodsA track record of delivering strong customer experiences and operational resultsCommercial awareness and experience managing sales, labour, food costs and other financial KPIsStrong recruitment, coaching and performance management capabilityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to develop other leaders and build a strong management teamA hands-on leadership style — you're comfortable being on the floor, leading from the front and setting the standardA positive, accountable and solutions-focused approachThe ability to balance great people leadership with strong commercial performance

Previous quick-service restaurant experience is valuable, but great leadership, commercial capability and the ability to build high-performing teams matter most to us.
