Jnr Construction Site Surveyor/Steel Detailer

About the role

A Junior Construction Site Surveyor / Steel Detailer role responsible for performing various site surveying and drafting tasks to support the drafting team and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and use the Trimble Robotic Total Station

• Perform site surveying and as-built documentation of existing steel beams, columns, walls and floors using the total station

• Provide DWG files of as-built surveys

• Site set out of anchors and holding down bolts to high accuracy (+/- 3mm)

• Use gathered information to shop detail small structural items

• Provide shop drawings and sketches for fabrication and installation using Tekla Structures

• Report as required to the Project Management Team

About you

• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude

• Strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of reading construction drawings

• Previous tech drawing experience

• Familiar with construction sites

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Valid driver's licence

• Valid NSW Workcover white card

• Understanding of construction practices in theory
