What you'll be doing
The incumbent will be an integral part of the Scientific Training and Development team and be responsible for assisting with the training, assessments and competencies of Scientific and Technical staff within NSWHP- South West Sydney area. The incumbent will travel across sites in the South West Sydney which includes Liverpool, Campbelltown, Bankstown, Bowral and Fairfield Hospitals and carry out Pathology laboratory staff training, performance development and competency assessments. The Pre-Analytical Area Trainer will be Pathology discipline expert in Specimen Reception and will facilitate continuing professional development for other staff within that discipline. Trainers will need to also assist in routine laboratory work to understand workflow and maintain their knowledge. This is a shift worker position, required to participate in 24/7 roster.
