Senior Network Engineer (Sydney)We're looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a leading telecommunications environment, responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of carrier-grade IP networks supporting fixed broadband and 4G/5G mobile services.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and optimize Core IP/MPLS networks across backbone, aggregation, and edge layersDeliver multi-vendor solutions leveraging Cisco, Nokia, and Juniper technologiesConfigure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing, QoS, and IPv6Lead network design initiatives across 4G/5G mobile core, IP backbone, transmission, and data center environmentsPerform capacity planning, traffic engineering, and network performance optimizationDrive network automation and provisioning using tools such as Python, Ansible, and Cisco NSOManage complex fault isolation and resolution across multi-domain network environmentsProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and support for project delivery
Required Skills & Experience8+ years of experience in Telecommunications, ISP, or Carrier-grade NetworkingStrong hands-on expertise with Cisco, Nokia, and Juniper platformsDeep understanding of Core IP, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, High Availability, and IPv6Experience supporting fixed broadband and 4G/5G mobile networksStrong troubleshooting, design, and stakeholder management capabilitiesRelevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, NRS/NRP, JNCIP/JNCIE are desirableImportant
