Quality & Risk Coordinator

Ramsay Clinic New Farm is seeking an experienced and proactive Clinical Quality and Risk Coordinator to lead the implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s quality, safety and risk management systems. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care while driving continuous improvement and compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and other regulatory requirements.

You will play a key role in strengthening clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement frameworks across the clinic. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will lead hospital-wide initiatives, oversee incident investigations and reporting, support accreditation requirements, facilitate consumer engagement and feedback processes, monitor compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements, and foster a culture of safety, accountability and excellence in patient care. You will support the implementation of Ramsay's Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Framework through effective incident management, governance reporting, clinical evaluation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role

As the Clinical Quality and Risk Coordinator, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to support compliance with Ramsay Health Care's Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Framework. The role supports clinical governance, accreditation, incident management, consumer feedback systems, compliance monitoring and continuous improvement activities across the facility.

Key focus areas include:

• Clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
• Infection prevention and control
• Patient safety, consumer feedback and complaints management systems
• National and local audit, clinical evaluation and compliance activities
• Incident management, investigation, open disclosure and reporting
• Governance processes and Australian Council on Healthcare Standards accreditation readiness
• Clinical indicators, benchmarking, governance reporting and data analytics
• Policy, procedure and document governance
• Monitoring compliance with CORAS data collection requirements, including HoNOS, MHQ-14 and Patient Experience measures
• Monitoring and reporting of mental health outcome measures and consumer experience data
• Risk identification, mitigation and assurance activities
• Legislative and regulatory reporting requirements
• Supporting workforce capability and safety culture initiatives
• Supporting continuous improvement across clinical services
• Supporting implementation of Ramsay's Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Framework

About You

You are a confident, self-directed healthcare professional with strong experience in hospital governance, quality improvement and risk management. You bring a collaborative approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence best practice across all levels of the organisation.

Essential Criteria:

• Current registration or qualification as a health professional (e.g. AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse) or equivalent clinical background
• Demonstrated knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement frameworks and accreditation standards
• Demonstrated experience in accreditation preparation and readiness
• Demonstrated experience in quality, risk management and patient safety within a hospital or healthcare setting
• Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Demonstrated experience in data collection, audit, analysis and reporting
• Proven ability to provide strategic and operational leadership
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities and set goals and objectives
• Demonstrated ability to operate in an environment of change
• Experience in facilitating change and adopting new concepts
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of accuracy, analytical ability and attention to detail
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and present quality, safety and risk data to support decision-making and improvement initiatives
• Working knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation and regulatory reporting requirements

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience in a mental health or behavioural health setting, including familiarity with mental health outcome and experience measures (HoNOS, MHQ-14, CORAS, Patient Experience)
• Knowledge of databases and data management or reporting systems
• Experience using risk and incident management systems (e.g. RiskMan or equivalent)
• Post-graduate qualification in Quality, Risk, Patient Safety or Healthcare Management
• Project management experience or qualification
