Radiographer Educator

About the Role

The Radiographer Educator – Angiography Suite is responsible for coordinating, developing and delivering education and training for radiographers across cardiac-interventional and structural, vascular and interventional radiology. The role supports safe, evidence-based clinical practice and ensures staff maintain the knowledge, skills and competencies required to deliver high-quality patient care in a complex procedural environment.

The role facilitates orientation, competency assessment and ongoing professional development, while working closely with the multidisciplinary team to support best practice across angiography, cardiac intervention, vascular procedures and interventional radiology. The Radiographer Educator also contributes to service improvement, accreditation requirements and the implementation of new equipment, technologies, procedures and clinical practices within the Angiography Suite.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate orientation and ongoing education for radiographers across cardiac, vascular and interventional radiology.
• Develop and deliver angiography-specific competency and education programs.
• Support graduate, student and new staff development within the Angiography Suite.
• Maintain competency in angiography equipment, imaging, radiation safety and procedural workflows.
• Support the introduction of new equipment, technologies, procedures and clinical practices.
• Promote evidence-based practice, patient safety and quality improvement.
• Maintain education and competency records and support accreditation and professional standards.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to identify and address education needs.
• Foster a positive culture of learning, teamwork and continuous professional development.
