Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Coders to join the Health Information and Record Service at Hawkesbury District Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely coding of inpatient episodes of care, ensuring compliance with Australian Coding Standards and other relevant classification and documentation requirements.
Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of clinical data, supporting ethical coding practices, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy, service delivery, and patient care outcomes. Your expertise, analytical skills, and commitment to excellence will directly support informed decision-making across the health service.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate clinical coding experience and have a proven coding accuracy rate. Please note that the recruitment process will include a face-to-face interview and practical coding assessment.
