TOM People and I are partnering with a leading Australian organisation to appoint a Senior Commercial Finance Manager. Reporting to the GM of Finance for a major operational division, this role serves as the key strategic finance partner to senior operational leadership. You will be responsible for leading financial performance management, strategic planning, forecasting, business case development and commercial decision support across a complex multi-site operating environment.

Role responsibilities:

• Partner with senior operational leaders to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

• Lead the development of commercial strategies, business cases, financial models and investment proposals.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity and profitability.

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.

• Provide high-quality weekly and monthly financial reporting, analysis and insights to key stakeholders.

• Support capital investment decisions through robust financial evaluation and modelling.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, automation and finance processes.

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team across multiple locations.

 About you:

• CA or CPA qualified with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

• Strong commercial finance, financial modelling and business partnering capability.

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior business leaders.

• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, operationally intensive or asset-heavy environments will be highly regarded.
