About the role
Residential Care & Therapeutic Residential Care (TRC) is intensive and time-limited care for a child or young person in statutory care that responds to the complex impacts of abuse, neglect and separation from family. This is achieved through the creation of positive, safe, healing relationships and experiences informed by a sound understanding of trauma, damaged attachment and development needs.
Your Opportunity
The Residential Care House Supervisor will provide supervision, support, coaching and mentoring to a team of Residential Care Workers working in a house to ensure a high quality, therapeutically focused care is provided 24/7. Our roster operates 24/7, offering a variety of day shifts (7am to 11pm) and overnight shifts (11pm to 7am).
The Residential Care House Supervisor is instrumental in the provision of high-quality residential care based on a therapeutic and trauma informed model of care.
The position will actively lead and supervise a dedicated team of Residential Care carers through nurturing the Children and Young People in accordance with their case management plan. The House Supervisor manages the daily operations of the house and supports the recruitment, development and retention of Residential Care Workers.

Week 1 Monday: 8am to 2pm Tuesday: 7am to 3:30pm Wednesday: 8am to 4pm Thursday: OFF Friday: 8am to 4pm Saturday: 7:30am to 3:30pm Sunday: 7:30am to 3:30pm
Week 2 Monday: 4pm to 11:30pm Tuesday: 11am to 5pm Wednesday: OFF Thursday: 7am to 4pm Friday: 7am to 2pm Saturday: OFF Sunday: OFF
Key Responsibilities:
About You
The successful candidate must hold a recognised and relevant qualification in residential care (Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention), Social Work, Youth Work, Alcohol/Other Drugs (or other relevant qualification) and substantial experience in working with children and young people.
We are seeking someone who has the ability to identify opportunities for improved practice and can meet the flexible demands of the role. Previous experience leading a team would be highly advantageous.
