Formwork Carpenter

Fortune reo all types pty ltd The Formwork Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork systems used in concrete structures across residential, commercial, and civil construction projects. This role involves interpreting construction drawings, assembling timber and modular formwork, ensuring structural accuracy and compliance with safety standards, and supporting concrete works from foundations through to slabs, beams, columns, and walls.

The position requires hands-on carpentry skills, safe use of tools and equipment, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of formwork and carpentry tasks, including: Construct, assemble, install, and dismantle formwork for foundations, walls, columns, beams, slabs, and other concrete structures. Interpret and work from drawings, plans, and specifications to build accurate formwork structures. Ensure all formwork is aligned, levelled, braced, and compliant with site safety and engineering requirements.

Cut, shape, and assemble timber, plywood, and other materials to create formwork panels and supports. Install and strip formwork safely while protecting structural integrity. Measure, mark, and set out materials using appropriate tools and standards.

Construct and install temporary structures and safety barriers as required. Use power tools, hand tools, and machinery safely and efficiently. Repair and maintain formwork systems, timber structures, and supports.

Follow building codes, construction standards, and company procedures. Qualification & experience At least 1 year of experience as a Formwork   Carpenter in construction projects.

At least Certificate III in a relevant field is preferrable. Strong understanding of formwork systems (timber, conventional, or modular). Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Competent with carpentry tools and equipment. White Card (required). Reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused.
