Junior Cost Accountant / Management Accountant

About the role
We're looking for a junior Cost Accountant to join our team on the Central Coast. In this role, you'll play a key part in our costing process, helping ensure it is accurate, transparent, and well-documented.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career accountant with some cost or management accounting experience who's ready to take on more responsibility and grow with a supportive team.

What you'll do

• Assist with review of lab fees and commission calculation, ensuring accuracy and consistency

• Support cost accounting and management accounting activities across the business

• Help prepare cost reports and analysis to inform decision-making

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of costing methodologies

• Work with internal stakeholders to gather and validate cost data

• Contribute to process improvements in how costs are tracked and reported

What we're looking for

• Some experience in cost accounting or management accounting (this is a junior-level role, so we welcome candidates early in their careers)

• A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and data

• Good analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving

• Proficiency with spreadsheets; experience with accounting or ERP systems is a plus

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

• Progress toward (or interest in) CA/CPA qualification is well regarded
