Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic &/or 4WD Accessory Fitter

About Us

We are Expanding and opening an additional workshop In Hume ACT. We specialise in 4WD Performance, Touring & accessories. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics and experienced Accessory Fitters who share our passion for 4WDs and the outdoors.

The Role
You will be working on a wide range of modern 4WDs and passenger vehicles, carrying out:

• General servicing and mechanical repairs

• Diagnosis and repair of driveline, suspension and braking systems

• Fitting and wiring of 4WD accessories & performance packages, including (as applicable):

- Performance accessories such as Turbo upgrades, Heat exchanger, intake pipes, fan kits etc...

- Suspension lifts and GVM upgrades

- Bullbars, tow bars, side steps, canopies, roof racks

- UHF radios, lighting, fridges, winches, air compressors

- Quality control checks and test drives

- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace

You’ll be part of a small, experienced team where your input is valued and you can take real pride in the vehicles you work on.

Essential:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) – trade qualified mechanic

• OR strong proven experience as an accessory fitter / auto electrician’s assistant in the 4WD industry

• Solid mechanical knowledge of modern 4WDs and dual cabs

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• Full, current driver’s licence (manual)

• Australian work rights

Highly Regarded (but not essential):

• Experience fitting 4WD accessories and suspension

• Basic auto‑electrical skills (wiring accessories, fault finding)

• Experience with 12V touring setups (dual batteries, solar, inverters, fridges etc.)

• Experience with 4WDing, camping, touring or towing in your own time
