About this opportunity

RMS is seeking a 2nd-4th year apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join our growing business in Laverton North, Victoria. You will report to the National Fleet Manager and be responsible for carrying out all general repairs and service work on a variety of trucks, light and heavy vehicles and plant. 

This is a permanent Monday to Friday role with the possibility of overtime. We are looking for candidates that can align with our core values of care + quality + innovation + integrity to join our team. 

Who are we looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:

• Currently undertaking or working towards a Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification
• Previous experience within the truck and/or trailer industry is highly regarded
• Heavy vehicle licence (desirable but not essential)
• Current Construction White Card
• Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive approach to workplace health, safety, and compliance
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
