Sales Assistant

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Sales Assistant to join our Golf Retail team. In this role, you'll be providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Golf equipment knowledge is a must to play a key role in driving sales by assisting customers with product selection, answering inquiries, and maintaining an organised and attractive sales floor. The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, and passionate about retail sales with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the sales team and store management to achieve sales targets, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.

• Provide detailed product information and answer customer inquiries in a knowledgeable manner.

• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked sales floor and displays.

• Assist with inventory management including receiving and stocking new merchandise.

• Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed sales targets and store goals.

What we're looking for

1. Experience in a Golf retail store desirable.

2. Golf equipment knowledge is very important.

3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

5. Basic math skills and ability to operate point-of-sale systems accurately.

6. Strong customer service orientation and team collaboration skills.

7. Flexible availability including weekends and holidays a requirement.

8. Reliable and the ability to work 4-6 days a week.
