About the Role
Due to recent expansion Showtime Event Group is seeking a talented and organised Event Planner to join our dynamic team. As an Event Planner, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional event experiences for our diverse range of clients. Whether it's a conference, gala dinner or cocktail party you will be the driving force behind its success. Based in our South Wharf office, this is a full-time opportunity for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll be Doing

• Liaising with clients, once their booking is confirmed, to understand their vision and event objectives.

• Coordinating all planning elements including menus, floor plans, run sheets, and vendor engagement.

• Managing client deadlines, payments and key milestones.

• Providing exceptional customer service to clients throughout the event planning and delivery process.

• Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the event experience and exceed client expectations.

About You

You bring a warm, friendly energy and feel at ease speaking with people over the phone. Building rapport quickly comes naturally to you, you’re an excellent communicator, especially over email. You’re organised, proactive, and calm under pressure. When things change, you adapt and find solutions rather than problems.

What You Bring

• Proven experience (2+ years) in event planning and coordination, preferably in the catering, hospitality or corporate events industry.

• Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, management, and external suppliers

• Familiarity with event management software and tools, Tripleseat knowledge is an advantage .

• Availability to work evenings and weekends in line with allocated events.

• Current Working with Children Check (required)

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (required)

• Valid Australian work visa or work rights.
