• Remuneration: Level 6 from $108,021 - $115,233 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
• Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW (minimum of 3 days required on campus)

Why Your Role Matters

The Copy and Audio-Visual Coordinator plays an important role in showcasing the reach, reputation and impact of UNSW Engineering.

Working within the Faculty of Engineering’s External Engagement Team, you will support the development of high-value storytelling and multimedia content across written, digital and video channels. You will help translate complex information into clear, accurate and engaging content that connects with diverse audiences and highlights the strengths of the faculty.

Reporting to the Senior External Engagement Manager, this role has no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the External Engagement Team’s objectives by contributing to the visual content production process.
• Develop written and multimedia content across a range of formats, including long-form articles, website copy, social media and video.
• Generate ideas and concepts for video, multimedia and other content, including alumni profiles.
• Draft and edit content that promotes the strengths of UNSW Engineering, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with UNSW guidelines and standards.
• Distil complex or technical information into engaging content that resonates with a range of audiences.
• Develop online content in line with the UNSW style guide and agreed deadlines.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to plan, develop and deliver content across digital channels.
• Work closely with the News and Content Coordinator to create content for Faculty social media channels.
• Support the planning and delivery of photo and video shoots.
• Capture visual content using accessible technology, including DSLR cameras and mobile phones.
• Edit video content to support the external engagement activities of the faculty and its schools.
• Contribute to other team priorities and duties as required.

Who you are:

You are a versatile content professional with strong writing, storytelling and audio-visual production skills. You can turn complex information into clear, accurate and engaging content, and you are confident working across written, digital, social and video formats. You are organised, collaborative and comfortable managing stakeholders, competing priorities and deadlines.

You will bring:

• Proven experience producing content across video, long-form writing, websites and social media.
• Strong filming and video editing skills, including experience using DSLR cameras or mobile devices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to tailor content and messaging for different audiences and channels.
• Knowledge of digital content best practice, including analytics and SEO.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, consistency and quality.
• The ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• A proactive, customer-focused and team-oriented approach.
