Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Enrolled Nurse (EN) role based at Luxor Hair Transplant and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Port Melbourne, VIC.

The Enrolled Nurse will work closely with doctors, surgeons and senior nursing staff to support patients undergoing hair transplantation, cosmetic procedures and non-invasive aesthetic treatments. The role includes assisting with patient preparation, treatment-room setup, procedures and post-treatment care while maintaining a high standard of patient safety, comfort and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist doctors and senior nursing staff during hair transplant and cosmetic procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, monitoring and post-procedure care.
- Perform clinical observations and monitor patient comfort and wellbeing.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes and post-procedure care within scope of practice.
- Assist with medication administration and clinical procedures under appropriate supervision.
- Provide clear and professional post-treatment instructions to patients.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
- Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards and appropriate sterile techniques.
- Assist with the operation and preparation of advanced cosmetic technologies and equipment following appropriate training and clinical protocols.
- Develop competency in laser-based cosmetic treatments, including assisting with patient preparation, treatment setup and aftercare.
- Learn and assist with Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling treatments and other advanced skin rejuvenation procedures following appropriate training and supervision.
- Develop skills in a range of non-invasive and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures offered by the clinic.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new technologies, treatment techniques and equipment as the clinic continues to introduce advanced aesthetic treatments.
- Assist with patient photography, treatment documentation and pre- and post-treatment assessments where required.
- Maintain a calm, welcoming and professional environment that respects patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Follow clinic policies, clinical protocols, workplace health and safety requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical processes and patient experience.

Qualifications & Experience

- Current Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA and eligibility to work in Australia.
- Proven skills in basic clinical nursing care, including observations, wound care and medication administration within scope of practice.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control, sterile technique and safe handling of clinical equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and follow direction from senior clinicians.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate clinical documentation skills.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality and high-quality care.
- Previous experience in surgical, cosmetic, dermatology, aesthetic medicine, hair transplantation or outpatient clinic settings is highly regarded.
- Experience with laser treatments, Morpheus8 or other cosmetic technologies is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided to the suitable candidate.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning new technologies, procedures and skills within the cosmetic and aesthetic medicine environment.
- Ability to work independently when required while recognising professional scope of practice and seeking appropriate clinical supervision.
- Willingness to work part-time shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends, depending on clinic requirements.
