Disability Supprt Worker

About the role

Above Care Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. This part-time or Casual role is responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and actively participate in their communities.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

2. Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events

3. Encouraging and supporting clients to develop new skills and achieve their personal goals

4. Maintaining detailed records and reporting on clients' progress

What we're looking for

1. Relevant qualifications in disability, community services, or a related field

2. Experience in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families

4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of people with disabilities

5. A valid driver's licence and the ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
