About the role
The Assistant Accountant will support cash planning and financial reporting requirements across all group entities. The role will coordinate information from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Taxation and Management Accounting teams to produce accurate cash flow forecasts, reports and Board reporting packs. The position will play a key role in improving visibility of group cash movements, intercompany transactions and funding requirements while supporting the governance and reporting obligations of the Directors.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and maintain rolling weekly, monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts for all group entities.
Consolidate cash flow forecasts into a Group-wide treasury position.
Monitor actual cash flows against forecast and investigate material variances.
Prepare monthly cash flow summary reports and commentary.
Assist with preparation of Statements of Cash Flows for management and Board reporting purposes.
Monitor daily bank balances across all entities.
Assist in managing intercompany funding requirements and transfers.
Produce monthly treasury and liquidity reports for Directors and senior management.
Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Taxation and operational teams to incorporate information into cash flow forecasting models.
Identify opportunities to automate treasury reporting and forecasting.
About you
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
1-3 years accounting or finance experience.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
Highly organised and methodical.
Strong problem-solving capability.
Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Collaborative approach to working across departments.
