About the role
Exciting Opportunity
City of Monash is seeking a highly organised and motivated Prosecutions and Infringement Support Officer to join our Prosecutions and Infringement Management Unit within the Community Safety and Amenity Department. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys detailed casework, works confidently with legislation and legal or regulatory processes, and can manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
Your Next Chapter
The diverse role provides administrative and operational supports to the prosecution and infringement management functions. You will work closely with the Prosecutions and Infringement Management Coordinator and other members of the team to ensure prosecution matters, infringement reviews and associated statutory processes are managed accurately, efficiently and consistently.
A key focus of the position will be assisting with the preparation and management of prosecution matters, including court documentation, filing proceedings, maintaining case records, processing court requests, issuing correspondence and finalising or archiving completed matters. You will also support the infringement review function by assessing applications, preparing written decisions and undertaking related infringement administration. The role requires sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to apply legislation, Council policies and established guidelines fairly and consistently.

A qualification in Justice Studies or an equivalent field, including relevant post-secondary training in administration, is required. Legal and law enforcement experience will be highly regarded. Applicants must also hold and maintain a current Victorian driver licence.
