Retirement Village Accountant

Elements Villages is looking for a hands-on Accountant to join our small, close-knit team at our retirement village in Springwood, QLD 4127.

This isn't a "stick to your lane" accounting role. We're a small operation, so you'll wear a few hats — happy to help wherever the business needs it, not just the numbers.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing day-to-day financial operations for the village, including budgeting, reporting, and reconciliations

• Handling accounts payable/receivable and resident billing

• Supporting compliance with the Retirement Villages Act (Qld) — or willing to get across it quickly if you're new to the sector

• Pitching in on other tasks as they come up — this is a small team where everyone helps out

• Liaising with residents, families, and management with warmth and professionalism

What we're looking for:

• Qualified accountant (or working towards CPA/CA) with solid bookkeeping/accounting experience

• Genuinely good with people — you'll be dealing with residents, not just spreadsheets

• Comfortable in a small-team environment where roles overlap

• Experience with the Retirement Villages Act is a bonus, but not essential — willingness to learn is what matters

• Reliable, adaptable, and happy to get stuck into whatever the day throws at you

What's on offer:

• $85,000 - $105,000 FTE

• Likely a 3 day per week role - however could be a full-time role if able to pick up other roles which would help out the team
