About the role:
The Indigenous Healing Service (IHS) provides healing, support, counselling and a therapeutic response to children, young people and their families who are affected by child sexual abuse, family and domestic violence and/or grief and loss.
The IHS assists children, young people, and adults to recover from the harmful impacts of trauma and assists families and communities to support children and young people in the healing process.
The Counsellor will be responsible for ensuring the provision of professional child/young people, adult and family counselling services in consultation with the Principal Practitioner and Pilbara Services Manager.
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in our Perth office with weekly/fortnightly travel to Porth Hedland, WA within our Indigenous Healing Service, WA program. The position reports to the Principal Practitioner WA/NT.
