Maintenance Planner Garli Project (Rio Tinto Site)
Full-time | 8:6 Roster | Permanent Position
$120,000 + Super Annnually 

Mechanics Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a leading WA-based mechanical services provider to recruit an experienced Maintenance Planner for their operations on the Rio Tinto Garli Project.

This role will suit someone who knows their way around maintenance systems, thrives in a high-performing team, and wants a long-term opportunity with a respected player in the mechanical and plant servicing space.

About the Role:

You'll be planning and coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance activities across diesel vehicles, plant and specialised equipment. You'll work closely with workshop and production teams to reduce downtime and keep everything running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Build and manage preventative and corrective maintenance schedules

• Work with the maintenance team, contractors and suppliers to get jobs done on time

• Keep maintenance records, work orders and asset registers up to date

• Analyse performance data and spot areas for improvement

• Help with parts, tooling and procurement

• Liaise with production to plan maintenance with minimal disruption

• Support safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Need:

• Minimum 5 years in a maintenance planning or similar role

• Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical maintenance principles

• Solid experience using CMMS systems (SAP, Pronto etc.)

• Good communicator who can work with trades, supervisors and vendors

• Can prioritise, solve problems and keep multiple tasks moving

• Understanding of WHS and maintenance compliance

• Relevant qualification in engineering, maintenance or a mechanical/electrical trade

• C Class drivers license

Nice to Have:

• Forklift, EWP or other high-risk licenses

• Experience in mining, industrial or heavy mechanical environments

Roster & Pay:

• 2:1 FIFO roster ex-Perth

• Day shift only

• Up to $70 per hour + super

• Weekly pay

• Long-term, permanent opportunity
