About the Opportunity
Join Jewish Care Victoria's Social Services team as a Psychologist or Qualified Registered Counsellor, where you'll provide essential psychological support to individuals and families in our community. Based at our office located in Windsor, this fixed-term part-time position with a view to permanency offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the community while working within a supportive, values-driven organisation.
You'll deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, conduct assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive mental health & wellbeing support for clients with diverse needs. This role combines clinical expertise with community connection, offering variety and professional growth opportunities.
What You'll Do
Provide individual and group counselling services using evidence-based approaches
Conduct psychological assessments and develop treatment plans
Collaborate with social workers and community partners
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case notes
Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities
Support clients and families navigate mental health challenges with compassion and cultural sensitivity
What You'll Bring
Registered Psychologist with AHPRA registration or Qualified Registered Counsellor with PACFA/ACA registration
Experience in community mental health or social services setting preferred
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse communities
Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
