Are you passionate about food service and making a positive impact on your community? Join the Casterton Catering Team, where you'll help deliver safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals that support patient recovery, resident wellbeing, and community outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, takes pride in quality service, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You'll prepare and serve meals across acute care, aged care, Meals on Wheels, and catering services while maintaining high standards of food safety, efficiency, and customer care.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our dedicated Catering Team, you'll help deliver safe, nutritious, and high-quality food services that support the health and wellbeing of our residents, patients, and community members through:
Food Safety & Compliance —
Maintain high standards of food safety, infection control, and workplace safety while accurately completing required Food Safety documentation and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
Meal Preparation & Nutrition —
Prepare and serve nutritious, well-balanced, and appealing meals that meet a range of dietary, cultural, and therapeutic requirements.
Specialised Dietary Support —
Assist in preparing modified and texture-modified meals in line with the IDDSI framework and support consumers with specific dietary needs and restrictions.
Menu & Food Service Delivery —
Contribute to menu planning and meal service delivery across acute care, aged care, Meals on Wheels, and catering services, ensuring quality and consistency.
Consumer-Focused Service —
Interact with residents, patients, and consumers in a compassionate, respectful, and professional manner, supporting positive dining experiences and wellbeing.
Teamwork & Collaboration —
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Development —
Maintain a commitment to ongoing learning and contribute to service improvements that enhance food quality, safety, and consumer satisfaction

The Casterton township is nestled amongst the rolling hills and river red gums of the Glenelg River Valley, 359 Km west of Melbourne and 42 Km east of the South Australian border.
