About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Officer - Part-time position to join our team at our Lonsdale, SA 5160 location. This is a part-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our workforce. As Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing payroll operations, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation. This role is essential to ensuring our employees are paid correctly and on time, whilst maintaining accurate records and statutory compliance.

What you'll be doing

• Collating time sheets and site diaries to payroll processing

• Processing payroll regularly, including salary calculations, deductions and tax withholdings

• Maintaining accurate payroll records and employee databases

• Preparing and lodging payroll tax reports and superannuation contributions in compliance with legislative requirements

• Reconciling payroll accounts and identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Supporting employees with payroll-related queries and providing timely responses

• Ensuring compliance with relevant payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements

• Preparing payroll documentation and managing confidential employee information with discretion

• Assisting with payroll system administration and updates

• Knowledge of the Reckon Accounting package is an advantage
