Warehouse Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to work at our Mulwala facility.  You will need to be a confident, detail-oriented individual who is solution-focused and ready to thrive in a busy setting. 

Qualifications

• Current Driver’s licence
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current high risk work forklift licence
• Certificate in Supply Chains Operations (Warehouse Operations) advantageous. 

Skills required:

• Prior experience in a warehouse role.
• Excellent computer literacy and Microsoft Skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Ability to follow and drive for procedure improvements & efficiencies.
• A positive and solution driven mindset.
• Strong work ethic and the willingness to help others and work within a team.

• Ability to meet required deadlines.
• A good understanding of the building/manufacturing industry.
• Experience with Datapel (desirable).
• Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role.

 Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the day to day warehouse operations.
• Manage the delivery of incoming goods, ensuring they are per order with no damage and report all short and incorrect deliveries.
• Ensure all building materials are complete and delivered to the jobs in line with the construction schedule activities or as directed by the Construction Supervisor to ensure job readiness.
• Track orders and ensure delivery within required timeframe.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and internal team members to resolve stock ordering issues.
• Facilitate and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers in efforts to grow the business reputation and provide a good representation of the business.
• Identify and manage supplier risks and opportunities, including those of the suppliers’ supply chains.
• Support sourcing recommendations on behalf of the business.
• Identify and implement cost mitigation strategies.
• Undertake analytics and compile business insight reports.
• Develop procurement/purchasing procedures and policies.
• Keep the facilityclean, safe, and be organised.
• Organise and deliver building materials, equipment and other resources as required to ensure all construction activities are completed withinset timelines both onsite and at the YMH facility.
• Completion of all Prep Moves to all buildings leavingthe YMH Mulwala facility in conjunction with the Construction Supervisor.
• Keep all workstations clean and clear to ensurea safe working environment.

 Remuneration:

• Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience.
