Shutdown, Maintenance & Project Electricians – FIFO WA

GEC is a proudly WA-owned electrical contractor delivering specialised electrical services to the mining and resources sector across Western Australia.

Due to continued growth and ongoing project demand, we are seeking experienced Shutdown Electricians, Maintenance Electricians, Shut-Only Casuals, and Project Electricians for FIFO roles across multiple WA mine sites.

These opportunities are ideal for electricians with experience in shutdowns, maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding, and project works, offering competitive mining rates, ongoing work, and long-term career opportunities with a safety-focused and growing WA business.

About the Role

Working across a range of mining and resource operations, your duties may include:

·         Planned shutdowns and maintenance works

·         Preventative and corrective maintenance

·         Breakdown response, fault finding and repairs

·         Electrical inspections, testing and commissioning

·         Project installations and upgrades

·         Cable installations, terminations and equipment maintenance

·         Maintaining compliance with site safety, quality and operational standards

FIFO from Perth to various WA mine sites on a variety of rosters.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

·         WA Electrical Workers Licence

·         Current CPR/LVR certification

·         Previous mining, shutdown, maintenance, or project experience

·         Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

·         Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

·         Commitment to safe work practices

·         Current Manual Driver's Licence

·         National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)

·         Relevant mining inductions and tickets highly regarded
