Intelligent Engineering — Epping, VIC | Full Time | Day Shift
Build caravan chassis on a modern flow-line production system. Day shift with early finishes, consistent Monday–Friday hours plus reasonable overtime, and genuine pathways to upskill.
About UsIntelligent Engineering is a leading manufacturer of high-quality chassis and trailers for the Australian caravan industry. We run a structured, station-based flow-line production system in our modern Epping facility — every chassis moves through clearly defined stages, so you always know exactly what your job is and how it fits into the finished product.
We take pride in our built-to-last reputation, and we're growing. We're looking for reliable, motivated people to join our production team.
The RoleAs an Assembly Process Worker / General Factory Hand, you'll work at defined assembly stations on our production line, building chassis components and sub-assemblies to drawing. Day-to-day you will:
Assemble chassis components and sub-assemblies using hand tools, air tools, and power tools
Fit suspension, couplings, and hardware to specification at your station
Work to drawings and production schedules to meet daily targets at each stage of the line
Perform in-process quality checks, catching defects before your work moves down the line
Maintain your station — keep tools, materials, and your workspace safe, stocked, and organised
6–12 months' assembly experience in a manufacturing, factory, or mechanical environment
Confident with tools — impact wrenches, angle grinders, drill/drivers, air tools, and measuring equipment
Physically fit — comfortable with manual handling and staying on your feet across the shift
Reliable and safety-focused — you show up, work safely, and take pride in doing the job right
A team player — positive attitude in a busy, fast-paced environment
Flexibility — willing to work reasonable overtime and some Saturdays as required
Australian work rights (required)
Day shift, early finish — start early, finish early, with reasonable overtime available to boost your take-home pay
Structured work — a clear, station-based production process means proper training and no guesswork
Career growth — we promote from within and provide real opportunities to upskill into welding, fabrication, and machine operation
