About the role
Join a dedicated team providing a compassionate alternative to public intoxication responses. Through outreach, transport, and support, you’ll help people access the care they need, when they need it most.

Your duties include:
* Provide high quality outreach services to clients, working collaboratively with internal and external providers and stakeholders
* Implement care and recovery coordination as required including arranging transport for clients when needed
* Undertake community engagement, development activities and tasks which reduces stigma and promotes community safety and wellbeing

Our ideal candidate:
* Certificate IV or tertiary qualification in a relevant field or other appropriate qualification
* A Lived experience of accessing AOD services will be highly regarded
* The ability to assess client need and develop a care plan in order to support and assist both their immediate wellbeing and safety and their short-term navigation to health and other community services
* A commitment to the principles of harm reduction and recovery

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.
Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
