About the role
The Administration Support Trainee will support the Administration, Enrolments, and Customer Service team with a range of administrative tasks, reception duties, and customer service responsibilities. This entry-level role offers practical experience in office operations, student management systems, and customer interactions.
Candidates will undertake either a Certificate III or IV in Business as appropriate depending prior experience and qualifications.
What you'll be doing
Answer incoming phone calls, transfer calls, and take messages as required.
Greet and assist visitors, students, and clients in a professional manner.
Respond to basic enquiries via email and phone, directing more complex queries to the appropriate staff member.
Assist with student enrolment follow ups and paperwork.
Assist with general administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, data entry, and document preparation.
Support the aXcelerate Student Management System with enrolments, student records, and scheduling.
Class non-attendance follow ups.
Book and organise student schedules, workshops, and appointments.
Create and maintain student user accounts on online platforms, including account setup and inductions.
Liaise with staff, suppliers, and clients as needed.
Provide additional administrative and customer service support to other departments as needed.
Marketing Assistance for newsletters, social media, and content as required.
What we're looking for
Willingness to learn and develop skills in administration and customer service.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
Ability to work in a team and take direction from supervisors.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
No prior experience required – ideal for a school leaver or someone looking to start a career in administration.
Knowledge of Social Media platforms including LinkedIn and Facebook desirable but not essential.
