Cafe Manager

​Iimis Traralgon is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Cafe Manager to lead our team and drive daily front-of-house operations. ​

Whether you are looking for the stability of a full-time role or the flexibility of casual employment, this position requires a passion for exceptional customer service, high-quality coffee and food delivery, and seamless day-to-day management.

You will be the face of the venue, ensuring every guest enjoys a premium, welcoming experience. ​

Key Responsibilities ​

• Front-of-House Leadership: Work actively on the floor, managing peak rushes, seating guests, taking orders, and delivering top-tier hospitality. ​
• Team Management & Culture: Train, mentor, and supervise floor and coffee staff to maintain high service standards and positive team morale.
• Rostering & Workflow: Coordinate daily floor staff, manage floor rosters, and adapt team deployment based on trade volume. ​
• Quality Control: Ensure food and beverage presentation, table service, and cleanliness consistently meet venue standards.
• ​Operations & Inventory: Assist with stock control, ordering cafe supplies, managing POS systems, and handling cash/end-of-day reconciliation. ​
• Customer Engagement: Handle customer feedback with professionalism and foster strong relationships with local regulars. ​

What We Are Looking For ​

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated background in cafe management, assistant management, or senior shift supervision in a fast-paced environment. ​
• Front-of-House Expertise: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong presence on the floor—you lead by example, not from an office. ​
• Hospitality Standards: Strong knowledge of coffee service, dietary trends, food safety, and hygiene regulations (RSA and Food Safety Certifications preferred). ​
• Leadership & Communication: Ability to multi-task under pressure, solve problems quickly, and communicate effectively with both floor and kitchen staff. ​
• Flexibility: Willingness to work weekend shifts, early mornings, and public holidays as required by cafe operating hours. ​

Pay: $55,176.02 – $81,916.02 per year
