The specialist will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Palliative Care service.
About the Role
To provide a comprehensive assessment of symptoms, psychosocial needs and provide specialist advice for patients referred to the Palliative Care Consult service at the Sutherland Hospital. This role includes 0.2 FTE of Cardiac Supportive Care, which is a community home visit-based service. The successful candidate will be required to attend Palliative Care Service meetings across SESLHD and participate in the after hours on-call roster for Palliative Care for SESLHD.
The primary location of this position may be varied as agreed with the Director of Medical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities in SESLHD.
