About the role
This position is responsible for leading and supporting the ushering/bar team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure the safe and efficient operation of theatre events. The role oversees front-of-house operations, including patron services, ticketing, crowd management, and bar operations, while providing direction, guidance, and support to staff throughout each event. Previous supervisory experience in a theatre or venue environment, a current RSA, and a commitment to First Aid and Fire Safety training are essential. Experience with theatre ticketing systems will be highly regarded.
The Theatre Services Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting the ushering team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the safe and efficient operation of theatre events. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating patron entry and seating, overseeing ticket checking, responding to customer enquiries, managing crowd flow, and ensuring bar operations, including the responsible service of alcohol, are conducted in accordance with venue procedures. The role requires previous experience in theatre or venue ushering and bar operations, demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, a current RSA, and a commitment to workplace safety, including First Aid (or willingness to obtain certification) and Fire Safety training. Experience with theatre ticketing systems and ticket sales will be highly regarded.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $34.97 gross per hour
+ 25% casual loading
+ 12% superannuation
+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
+ annual award increase
