About the work unit / facility
The Director of Midwifery is the senior professional midwifery leader within Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), providing strategic, clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based and woman-centred maternity care across the continuum of services.
The role is accountable for professional standards and clinical governance, quality and safety, workforce capability, service performance and improvement, operational excellence and the advancement of contemporary models of care aligned with THHS, Queensland Health and national health priorities.
