Clinical Nurse Consultant - Ward 6B (Acute Cognitive Unit)

Your new role:

Join the Ward 6B Acute Cognitive Unit (ACU) at Logan Hospital and provide advanced clinical leadership, consultancy and specialist nursing expertise across dementia and geriatric care. As the Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, compassionate and evidence-based care for older adults with complex geriatric syndromes, significant cognitive impairment and hyperactive delirium.

• Lead and support quality improvement, clinical redesign and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Mentor, coach and develop nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative practice environment.
• Contribute to education, research, innovation and workforce development initiatives.

About you:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate nursing leader who brings advanced clinical knowledge in dementia and geriatric care and is committed to achieving positive outcomes for older adults and their families.

• Understanding of operational management, workforce planning and resource utilisation.
• Experience using data, performance indicators and benchmarking to drive service improvement.
• A commitment to education, research, innovation and ongoing professional development.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
